About two weeks ago, Mr F.A. Wertz, of this city ordered from you a crate of cantaloup for me. These were delivered to me by the express company last monday and were entirely spoiled, so I refused to accept them from the express company.

I have no doubt whatever that the spoiling of the cantaloup was due to undue delay in transit, as both Mr Wert and Mr Carrithers have received first class melons from you.

I would like to order another crate, if you think the express company will handle it with reasonable promptness.
