Overview

The body of a letter in the TEI includes 4 parts:

  • <opener> : groups dateline,
    byline, salute (more details and examples can be reviewed here)
  • <p> : the primary text of the letter
  • <closer> : groups together
    salute and signed and dateline (more details and examples can be reviewed here)
  • <postscript> : a postscript where true
