                        <p>The following is written on two sides of a standard postcard. On one
                            side, the words "Postcard" and "the address only to be written on this
                            tide" are centred in the top third. The word "postcard" is separated in
                            two and the Royal coat of arms is positioned in the center. There is a
                            two penny postage stamp in the top-right corner with a profile view of
                            Queen Victoria. This stamp appears to have been stamped over with
                            another ovular stamp. The sender's address and the date of postage is
                            stamped onto the page to the left of the postage stamp. This
                            address/date stamp is circular and covers the "D" in Card as well as the
                            words "this side" from the postcard label. All other writing on this
                            side is in Dinah Craik's hand. On the reverse side, in the top-right
                            corner and under the date, there is a stamp that reads: "The Corner
                            House,<lb/> Shortlands R.O.<lb/> Kent."</p>
