Angel,

Everything is going ok so far. As soon as you get my card and I get your answers I'll feel better. -When I know that you are making out alright sweet it won't be so bad.

I have the top floor of the barraks barracks if hot but better than I thought it would be. Joe3 I haven't heard of anyone named Joe in the family tree, so this must be a friend of my grandfather's is in the next barraks barracks so I only see him at drill or meals.

They haven't issued any of our Army clothes yet. But we did get a bag for our gear. It had a rain coat, canteen, razor and blades, soap, tooth brush, comb, shaving brush knife, fork, plate, cup and spoon.

After our lunch today we are supposed to get our tests and injections. We just finished drilling and were waiting for mess call so I thought I'd better write while I had the chance.

The only though thing is the heat. We probably won't be here long anyway. Sweet I don't know how soon this will reach you because they say it takes two days for a letter to get to Trenton. Don't worry its just that its slow moving. I'll write as often as I can so that even if they are late they'll get there anyway. Don't try to write more than one letter for now4 changes from pen to pencil sweet because if I'm sent out it won't get to me for weeks I'll let you know where I am just as soon as I get there.

Keep your chin up Tess its only for a while and then its going to be over for good. One more day or so and I'll know just what branch I'll be in then I'll feel better.

I'll have to close now Angel, I love you as ever. Cy P.S.Let mom know that I'm ok sweet when you get this I might not have a chance to write her for a few days chin up I love you
